OMT#05 Pacific & the Rockies + Victoria Motorcoach Tour from Vancouver to Calgary
The motorcoach tour encompasses the magnificent coast and mountain sceneries of British Columbia and Alberta - from Vancouver, Victoria, Whistler to Banff, Lake Louise and Calgary. From Vancouver we take the BC Ferry for a scenic ride through the Gulf Islands to Victoria on Vancouver Island. Our coach trip continues to the world-class ski destination Whistler through BC’s scenic Coastal Mountains. Visit a working cattle ranch in the southern Chilcotin area and continue the journey to Banff in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. We overnight in first-class hotels and mountain lodges in scenic locations. The tour ends in Calgary.

Motorcoach Tour Itinerary
Day 01: Vancouver
Arrive in Vancouver at your leisure. Vancouver, located on Canada's West Coast, is one of the most beautiful cities in North America. Surrounded by water, parks and the coastal mountains, the city provides a stunning natural environment perfect for the pursuit of almost any recreational activity. Spend the day to visit the sights and attractions. Overnight in downtown Vancouver.
Day 02: Vancouver - Victoria
Board the motorcoach and travel south to the BC Ferry Terminal in Tsawwassen. Onboard enjoy the stunning views across the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the snow-capped Olympic Mountains. Upon arrival travel south and spend a couple of hours at Butchart Gardens. As you make your way around the gardens, you'll walk through intimate stone paths and streams lined with colorful arrays of flowers and trees. Continue to Victoria - the garden city located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island.
Day 03: VIctoria - Vancouver
Let the lively ambience lead you on a leisurely stroll to Victoria’s most popular attractions, incredible sights and tours, spectacular theatre and museums. Spend the day to visit the attractions including the Butchart Gardens, the world famous Empress Hotel, the Legislative Buildings and the Royal British Columbia Museum. The Inner Harbour is the focal point of the downtown core and surrounded by many historical buildings including the Empress Hotel. In the afternoon return to Vancouver.
Day 04: Vancouver - Whistler
From Vancouver enjoy the scenic drive along the Sea-to-Sky Highway towards Whistler. On your way you pass the Shannon Waterfalls and the Stawamus Chief rock face. Arrive at Whistler in the afternoon and check in your hotel. Enjoy the remaining afternoon to explore the town of Whistler, host to the 2010 Winter Olympics.
Day 05: Whistler - Kamloops / Lac Le Jeune
On today’s coach journey you will see dramatic changes in scenery. Travel along Duffey Lake Road from the mountain-lined Pemberton Valley through a high traverse of the Coast Mountains. Be rewarded by some of the best roadside scenery of the southwestern British Columbia. Enjoy a delicious lunch in Lillooet, known as Mile '0' on the famous Cariboo Trail that led to the Cariboo Gold Rush. After traveling along lush green fields and winding river canyons you know enter the desert-like environment of the interior. Arrive in time for your evening dinner at Lac Le Jeune. Take an evening stroll to the nearby lakes, where 'jumping' rainbow trouts will entertain you.
Day 06: Kamloops / Lac Le Jeune - Banff National Park
Your motorcoach tour continues after a delicious breakfast. Enjoy the spectacular scenery as you travel past rocky lakeshores of Shuswap Lake, across ranchlands and high mountain passes. You frequently stop at interesting and historical places like Craigellachie where the last spike of the CP railway was driven, the Kicking Horse Canyon, Spiral Tunnels and Rogers Pass. Have lunch while enjoying scenic views of glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. After passing Emerald Lake in Yoho Park you have time to visit the 'Jewel of the Rockies' Lake Louise with towering Chateau Lake Louise. Continue to Banff for your overnight stay.
Day 07: Banff National Park
Today you have more time to visit the sights and attractions of Banff. The small town is located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies and part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a popular destination with its majestic mountains, sparkling blue glaciers and alpine wildflower meadows. This morning attend a guided sightseeing tour including a visit to the Banff Springs Hotel, Cave and Basin Center, the Hoodoos at Tunnel Mountain and a cruise on glacier-blue Lake Minnewanka. Your sightseeing tour includes also the scenic gondola ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain and the entrance fee to the Whyte Museum where you'll learn more about the wildlife and history of Banff.

Day 08: Banff National Park - Calgary
Spend the morning in Banff and depart then for your last journey to Calgary. Optional overnight stay in Calgary.
