The motorcoach tour encompasses the magnificent coast and mountain sceneries of Alberta and British Columbia - from Calgary, Banff, Jasper, Whistler to Vancouver. We travel from Calgary towards Banff, located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. A highlight is the journey along the Icefields Parkway to the Columbia Icefield where you will attend the snowcoach tour. No vacation would be complete without a trip to Jasper National Park. After visiting Lake Louise our journey continues across lush green fields in the southern Chilcotin area towards the Coast Mountains. Enjoy the day at Whistler before the group tour ends in Vancouver. We overnight in first-class hotels and mountain lodges in scenic locations.

| Motorcoach Tour Itinerary |
Day 01: Calgary - Banff
Arrive in Calgary at your leisure. You motorcoach journey commends with a pick up at the Calgary International Airport or selected downtown hotels. Enjoy the scenic drive towards the Rocky Mountains - past Kananaskis towards Banff. Banff is located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies and part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a popular destination with its majestic mountains, sparkling blue glaciers and alpine wildflower meadows. This afternoon join a sightseeing tour of Banff and visit the Banff Springs Hotel, Cave and Basin Center, the Hoodoos at Tunnel Mountain, Bow Falls. Your sightseeing tour includes also the scenic gondola ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain. Spend the next two nights in Banff. |
Day 02 Banff National Park
Today you have more time to visit the sights and attractions of Banff. This morning attend a scenic cruise on glacier-blue Lake Minnewanka. This magnificent cruise consists of a 1.5 hour interpretive tour of Lake Minnewanka and surrounding area. The experienced crew will guide you through this rugged paradise richly steeped in history, native folklore and geology. Later visit the Whyte Museum where you'll learn more about the wildlife and history of Banff. |
Day 03: Banff - Icefields Parkway - Jasper
The splendour of the Icefields Parkway can hardly be overstated: a 230-kilometre road from Lake Louise to Jasper through the heart of the Rockies, it ranks as one of the world's most spectacular mountain highway. The Icefields Parkway follows the Rockies, crossing through several mountain passes, and skirting many glaciers, lakes and abundant wildlife. Arrive at the Columbia Icefield, presenting an awesome sight when first viewed from the Icefields Parkway. Here you have the chance to take a ride in one of the chunky Snocoaches to experience the glacier. The vehicle makes a thrillingly steep descent from the lateral moraine to travel some distance along the surface of the glacier, allowing passengers a walk on the ice before arriving in Jasper. |
Day 04: Jasper National Park
This morning you have time to explore the sights and attractions of Jasper. Jasper National Park is gateway to some of the most majestic, pristine and accessible wilderness Canada has to offer. Visit Mount Edith Cavell, Miette Hot Springs and the Jasper Tramway. No trip to the Canadian Rockies has been complete without a cruise to Spirit Island on Maligne Lake in Jasper National Park. Enjoy a free afternoon in Jasper. |
Day 05: Jasper - Icefields Parkway - Lake Louise
Spend the morning in Jasper at leisure. You have the chance to play a round of golf in front of the Fairmont Park Lodge, take a walk to Maligne Canyon where an interpretive trail winds its way along the river, switching from side to side over six bridges as the canyon progressively deepens. Just off the path, at the Maligne Canyon tea house, are a restaurant and a good Native American crafts store. In the afternoon enjoy the scenic motorcoach tour along the Icefields Parkway to Lake Louise, also called the 'Jewel of the Rockies'. Be impressed by the towering Chateau Lake Louise overlooking the emerald-green lake. Overnight at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. |
Day 06: Lake Louise - Kamloops / Lac Le Jeune
This morning it is time to leave the Canadian Rockies and step back on the bus. Enjoy the first photo stop at Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park. From here you frequently stop at interesting and historical places like Craigellachie where the last spike of the CP railway was driven, the Kicking Horse Canyon, Spiral Tunnels and Rogers Pass. Have lunch while enjoying scenic views of glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Enjoy the spectacular scenery as you leave the mountain area and travel across ranchlands and the rocky lakeshores of Shuswap Lake. Arrive in time for your evening dinner at Lac Le Jeune. |
Day 07: Kamloops / Lac Le Jeune - Whistler
After a delicious breakfast take a stroll to the nearby lakes, where 'jumping' rainbow trout will entertain you. On today’s coach journey you will see dramatic changes in scenery. From the desert-like environment of the interior you now travel along lush green fields and winding river canyons. You stop for lunch in Lillooet, known as Mile '0' on the famous Cariboo Trail that led to the Cariboo Gold Rush. From here you will be rewarded by some of the best roadside scenery of the southwestern British Columbia as you travel along the Duffey Lake Road through a high traverse of the Coast Mountains towards the mountain-lined Pemberton Valley. Arrive in Whistler, host to the 2010 Winter Olympics. |
Day 08: Whistler - Vancouver
Spend the day in Whistler at your leisure. Whistler is an ideal place for outdoor enthusiasts. Whether its ripping down the mountain bike park, glacier skiing, golfing, horse riding or white water rafting, you will soon find out why Whistler is a natural playground of outdoor activities. Depart Whistler for a scenic drive along the Sea-to-Sky Highway towards Whistler. On your way you pass the Shannon Waterfalls and the Stawamus Chief rock face. Your motorcoach tour ends in Vancouver with a drop off in downtown or at the airport. |
