OMT#02 Pacific & the Rockies + Icefields Parkway Motorcoach Tour from Vancouver to Calgary
The motorcoach tour encompasses the magnificent coast and mountain sceneries of British Columbia and Alberta - from Vancouver, Kelowna to Banff and Calgary. We travel from Vancouver to the Okanagan Vally - taking you through the heart of BC's ranch country. Visit a Winery in Kelowna and continue the journey to Banff in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Another Highlight is the journey along the Icefields Parkway to the Columbia Icefield where you will attend the snowcoach tour. We overnight in first-class hotels and mountain lodges in scenic locations. The tour ends in Calgary.

Motorcoach Tour Itinerary
Day 01: Vancouver - Kelowna
Arrive in Vancouver at your leisure. You motorcoach journey commends with a pick up at the Vancouver International Airport or selected downtown hotels. Travel through the lush Fraser Valley and along mighty Fraser River towards Kelowna. You will stopover for lunch near Chilliwack where you can stretch your legs and walk around in a beauftiful park. We continue our journey on the Coquihalla Highway and reach the Okanagan Valley. It is the ideal destination for golfers, wine lovers and freshwater-sport enthusiasts. Kelowna – on the eastern shore of the Okanagan Lake offers a variety of boating and outdoor recreation. This afternoon we stopover at a local winery for a tour and wine tasting. Check in your hotel and enjoy your free time to explore the lakefront.
Day 02: Kelowna to Lake Louise
Your motorcoach tour continues after a delicious breakfast. Enjoy the spectacular scenery as you travel past rocky lakeshores of Shuswap Lake, across ranchlands and high mountain passes. You frequently stop at interesting and historical places like Craigellachie where the last spike of the CP railway was driven, the Kicking Horse Canyon, Spiral Tunnels and Rogers Pass. Have lunch while enjoying scenic views of glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. After passing Emerald Lake in Yoho Park you have time to visit the 'Jewel of the Rockies' Lake Louise with towering Chateau Lake Louise.
Day 03: Lake Louise - Icefields Parkway - Banff National Park
The splendour of the Icefields Parkway can hardly be overstated: a 230-kilometre road from Lake Louise to Jasper through the heart of the Rockies, it ranks as one of the world's most spectacular mountain highway. The Icefields Parkway follows the Rockies, crossing through several mountain passes, and skirting many glaciers, lakes and abundant wildlife. Arrive at the Columbia Icefield, presenting an awesome sight when first viewed from the Icefields Parkway. Here you have the chance to take a ride in one of the chunky Snocoaches to experience the glacier. The vehicle makes a thrillingly steep descent from the lateral moraine to travel some distance along the surface of the glacier, allowing passengers a walk on the ice before returning (included). Stay overnight in the town of Banff.
Day 04: Banff National Park
Today you have more time to visit the sights and attractions of Banff. This morning attend a scenic cruise on glacier-blue Lake Minnewanka. This magnificent cruise consists of a 1.5 hour interpretive tour of Lake Minnewanka and surrounding area. The experienced crew will guide you through this rugged paradise richly steeped in history, native folklore and geology. Later visit the Whyte Museum where you'll learn more about the wildlife and history of Banff.
Day 05: Banff National Park - Calgary
Today you have more time to visit the sights and attractions of Banff. The small town is located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies and part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a popular destination with its majestic mountains, sparkling blue glaciers and alpine wildflower meadows. This morning attend a guided sightseeing tour including a visit to the Banff Springs Hotel, Cave and Basin Center, the Hoodoos at Tunnel Mountain and glacier-blue Lake Minnewanka. Depart Banff for your last journey to Calgary. Optional overnight stay in Calgary.
