| The Guest Ranch is located near Cranbrook in the southeastern corner of British Columbia, a two hour drive south of Banff National Park and three hours northwest of Waterton & Glacier National Parks. An area known as the Rockies region it features an abundance of nature, clean fast moving water, green fields & breathtaking mountain vistas. The ranch is a unique combination of cattle ranch, horse training facility as well as an upscale guest ranch. The main activity at the ranch is our horse program. The riding program includes riding instruction time for those unfamiliar with the sport, as well as more advanced lessons for those wishing to improve their skills. The indoor riding arena came in handy for that occasional rainstorm that we can get in the mountains. Our riding program allows for unlimited riding time. Wranglers lead morning and afternoon trail rides into high mountain vistas and along rushing rivers and creeks. The first rides leave the corral right after breakfast and will return to the ranch for lunch. The afternoon ride's leave the corrals between 1:00 & 1:30. The ranch is home to 90 head of horses. Our horse to guest ratio of 2 to 1 allows us to suit horses to the riders individual riding ability and experience level. Fast rides are offered after guests have ridden two full days with our wranglers. The ranch offers fly fishing equipment, available for our guests use. Additional activities like rafting and guided hiking trips are available. The ranch features an indoor heated swimming pool, outdoor hot tub, tennis court, children's play area, volleyball court, horseshoe pit, petting zoo, two outdoor riding arenas and one indoor 70 X 160 riding arena. Evenings guests are playing volleyball, sitting around a campfire, learning to swing a rope, trying their hand at archery or relaxing in the hot tub. Your home while visiting the Ranch will be a uniquely appointed log cabin with private entrance, sun chairs, queen beds, full private bath & sitting area. The Ranch provides linen, bath & pool towels along with daily maid service. Three meals are served per day in the lodge dining room. We strive to serve traditional fare with a flair. Fresh fruit, home baked breads and pastries accompany meals. |
