| GRP#03 6 Day Horseback Pack Trip, Clinton - Chilcotin Area |

 |
Nestled in the rolling hills of the Cariboo, in the heart of cattle country, the Guest Ranch is surrounded by majestic mountains and graceful meadows dotted with wildflowers and lakes. Experience during your Horseback Pack Trip the challenge of survival for four days and three nights out on the range and relax two days and two nights at the ranch. Camp out under the stars, enjoy late night campfires and warm western hospitality. As you ride over Big Bar Mountain, leaving the Ranch behind, the last link to civilization, an excitement takes hold at the prospect of experiencing a way of life known only to our ancestors. Enjoy spectacular views of one vista after another. Jack pines, meadows and canyons lead the way to ever-changing scenery as you make your way to the bottom of the Fraser Canyon to ride the Plateaus of the River where the scent of sage is so robust you can taste it as you inhale. Your trek will take you through some of the most breathtaking scenery from majestic mountains to meadows to desert, encountering wildlife, Indian carvings and interesting land formations as you go. The memory of this experience will stay with you forever. An experienced guide will escort you along breathtaking trails, where you will see wildlife, Indian carvings and interesting land formations. We encourage our "Packtrippers" to arrive by early afternoon, so that our experienced guide/outfitter can introduce you to your horse and take you out for a familiarization ride. The daily travel distance depends on the riders skill and experience, but averages of 4 to 6 hours per day.
