Farewell Canyon
The Chilcotin River starts in the heart of the Chilcotin Plateau, home of the First Nation Chilcotin people. It runs through this lush plateau and meets the Chilko River. Due to the longer headwaters of the Chilcotin, the Chilko adopts the name of the Chilcotin River. After the junction of the two great rivers, the Chilcotin River meanders through beautiful grassland savannah, home to mule deer and black bears.

Before entering the Fraser River, the grassland terrain surrounding the Chilcotin River transforms into a beautiful desert landscape with massive sand dunes, sagebrush, hoodoos and California Big Horn Sheep. The dry environment makes an afternoon on riverside beach a great activity. The Chilcotin River also has rafting for all levels, rated Class 2, 3, and 4. The Chilcotin River has many canyons formed by lava rock and sand offering a fun ride for all.

Your safety is our number one priority! We are proud to carry our customers in the highest standards of commercial rafting in the world under strict government regulations, and licensing policies. Our guides are certified under provincial BC guides licensing, and carry advanced first aids, and swift-water rescue technician certifications. Our guides know the river intimately and do their best to ensure your trip is safe and enjoyable! Our rafts range from 16-19' in length and are self bailing new boats. Depending on which boat is used and the type of trip, 6-10 people per raft.
1 Day Farewell Canyon Rafting Tour
 The Chilcotin River
Day 01
Our most popular day tripper! With an early start at around 8:30 am, we take a short shuttle from Williams Lake to an old trading post named Hanceville. After a detailed river safety briefing, we will embark on our Chilcotin River journey. For everyone; white water, and canyons! We begin at Lee's Corner, where we continue downstream through the popular "Good morning", and "Gooseneck" rapids. We float past sheer canyon walls where natives traditionally fish off the cliff walls at a place called Bat caves. More White water and scenery, with a wonderful buffet lunch. At a spectacular wildlife viewing area-catch a glimpse of eagles, bears and likely a Big Horn Sheep Or More! The trip rounds up in the giant Farwell Canyon; a dry semi-arid landscape boasting the largest Non-Migratory California Big Horn Sheep Population in north America! 5 hours on river. We return to Williams Lake at around 4:30 pm.
