11 Days Best of British Columbia’s Whitewater Rafting Tour
 River Rafting, British Columiba
Itinerary
There is simply no better or more natural introduction to beautiful British Columbia. Often considered Canada's most spectacular province, BC is certainly its most varied. Over eleven days, this trip weaves through a sampling of remote landscapes and diverse environments. It's like getting a taste of Norway, Switzerland, Lake Tahoe and Montana all on one vacation. Shorts and sandals are the norm on this carefully crafted circuit through the provinces sunny southwest corner.

Starting in Vancouver, we first explore old growth forested islands and towering fjords by boats, crusing past seals, bald eagles and killer whales. Next a sea plane whisks us over the Coast Range's sparkling glaciers to the pristine waters of Chilko Lake in Ts'yl-os Wilderness Park, where we layover to hike, fish or just soak up the 360 degree mountain vistas.

Then is aboard rafts for a leisurely arc through the heartland of BC down three very different free-flowing rivers. Born high in the mountains, the crystal clear Chilko River descends to join the Chilcotin amid hoodoos, open pine forests and grasslands. Here, the rain shadow of 13,000 foot peaks, bighorn sheep and deer roam sage covered hills. The Chilcotin is in turn swallowed by the canyons of the mighty Fraser River as it rolls from the Rockies to the Pacific. On the last day we return to Vancouver by scenic mountain railroad.
