| 7 Night Northern Rockies Outpost Cabins & Lodge Adventure |
| Northern Rockies, Muncho Lake Provincial Park |
The log cabins are located on the shores of remote mountain lakes in a vast wilderness area accessible only by floatplane. Experience nature at its best. Enjoy canoeing, boating, wilderness hiking, superb wildlife viewing and fishing. The cabins offer comfortable accommodation for 2 to 6 guests and are equipped with a wood stove, basic kitchen utensils, foam mattresses and an outhouse. Motorboats and canoes allow you to explore the lakes.
Netson Lake Moose and several beaver families inhabit the lake and surrounding area. Observe loons, ducks and eagles while boating. Trolling in Netson Lake produces great catches of Lake Trout. Superb fly-fishing in the inlet right by the cabin and in the outlet for both Arctic Grayling and Dolly Varden (Bull Trout).
Gataga Lake The South Gataga River originates from a chain of four mountain lakes. Our cabin is located on the five mile long lake, which is the largest of these four. From the front porch of the Gataga cabin enjoy the majestic, nameless peaks of the northern Rockies. A natural mineral lick on the second lake attracts moose and caribou and can easily be reached by boat or canoe through a short connecting stream. Other animals frequently observed are beaver, otter, wolf, and an abundance of water foul. Fish species include Lake Trout, Artic Grayling and Northern Pike. The South Gataga Lakes are excellent for trolling and spin casting.
Frog River A spectacular fifty-five minute flight takes you from Muncho Lake, over the northern Rocky Mountain Trench to the Cassiar Mountains, and the secluded Frog River valley. The lakes and streams of this unique mountain valley are situated between the Arctic and Pacific Watersheds providing excellent wilderness hiking and fishing opportunities. Explore the hot springs one mile past the outlet of the second lake or challenge one of the surrounding high mountain ridges. Moose, caribou and mountain goats frequent this valley. Fish species include Lake Trout, Arctic Grayling and Dolly Varden (Bull Trout). The fly-fishing for Artic Grayling in these mountain streams is world class.
Guests have the choice to combine the cabin adventure with a stay at our lodge. The Lodge, a 14,000 square foot long structure, features a 45-foot high stone fireplace in a vaulted ceiling dining room. Our Chefs pride themselves in European and American cuisine. In addition to the 21 hotel rooms in our main lodge we also offer accommodations in the original log cabins and new lakeshore chalets.
