| Insurance |
The rental company retains insurance coverage of CDN 5 Million for Third Party Liability. Rental rates include basic collision and public liability coverage with CDN 3,000 per occurrence. This coverage is not valid for a renter who violates the rental agreement in any form or uses the vehicle in a manner contrary to the province's or state's motor vehicle act.
V.I.P. Service: VIP (Vacation Interruption Protection) is not an insurance but a contractual agreement between the rental company and renter, wherein the rental company agrees not to collect more than the agreed deductible from the renter per occurrence for specific losses or damages:
V.I.P. $ 16 per day (Class "A" $18) reduces the renter's responsibility to a maximum of $300 per occurrence in case of accidental damage, theft, break-in, vandalism, etc. Negligent damage responsibility is up to $3,000 per occurrence e.g. damage caused by striking overhead objects and/or from backing up vehicle, self-inflicted accident by loosing control over vehicle, interior damage, undercarriage damage including tires and wheels. In case of theft / vandalism: Personal belongings as well as additional equipment rented (includes convenience kits) are not covered under VIP. Expenses reimbursed (If trip is interrupted by mechanical breakdown requiring more than 12 hours to repair) up to the daily rental rate of the vehicle for lodging and alternate transportation (receipts required). In case of an accident where the driver is NOT at fault, expenses for alternative accommodation and/or transportation will be reimbursed up to the equivalent of two (2) rental days. Balance of rental is non-refundable. |

Dirt or Logging Roads. Road Restrictions from Deas Lake to Telegraph Creek, Only Truck Campers are permitted on Road #5 to Inuvik, Road #6 to Ross River, Road #10 north of Tuchita, Taylor Highway #5 north of Jack Wade, Highway #4 and #6 north of Fairbanks.
Any repairs or damages resulting from travel in restricted areas without authorization are the renter's responsibility and insurance coverage is void. |
