 Day 9 Day Guided Hiking Trip

Vancouver - Bamfield
Transfer from your Hotel in Vancouver to the trailhead of the West Coast Trail-which is part of the Pacific Rim National Park. The 70 km long trail combines the rich history of the area with the splendid nature and abundant wildlife. We will set up our camp and discuss itinerary, logistics and pack personal gear.

Pachena Bay - Darling River
Our trek begins at Pachena Bay where we will hike through the coastal rainforest to Pachena Point Lighthouse. This will be our lunch spot. We will continue through the forest that emerges onto Darling River, discover hidden coves and waterfalls. First night camp.

Beach Hiking - Tsusiat Falls
Today we hike on the beach until we stop for lunch at Klanawa River cable car crossing. We will cross the river and continue through the forest for a couple more hours. Our camp today will be at Tsusiat Falls, where on a warm day, this is the most refreshing spot you could ever find. It’s time to take a dip.

Rest Day / Exploring Tidal Zones
Rest day at Tsusiat Falls. You can either relax on the sandy beach or explore the marine life in the inter-tidal zones with your guide.

Nitnat Narrows - Dare Point
Today is our longest day so we will get an early start. After 2-3 hours of hiking along the cliffs, we arrive at Nitnat narrows which we cross by boat. Here you can purchase some fresh seafood from the local natives. At the other side, we will continue on and arrive at our damp at Dare point.

Carmanah River - Walbran Creek
We will spend all of today hiking on the beach, passing Carmanah Lighthouse and the Carmanah River, ending the day at Walbran Creek.

Forest Trail - Suspension Bridges
For the most part of today we will be on the forest trail exploring the bog, the views from the cliffs and suspension bridges. Our destination is Camper Bay.

Gorgon River - Port Renfrew
We will spend the morning hiking through the forest, crossing bridges and climbing up and down ladders before we descend to Thrasher Cove. We will continue on to Gorgon River where we will be picked up by boat and taken to Port Renfrew.

Port Renfrew - Vancouver
Transfer to Vancouver. End of the services
