West Canada’s Best Hiking Tours
British Columbia / Alberta Guided Hiking Tours within Wells Gray Park, Mt.Robson, Rocky Mountain National Parks of Banff, Jasper, Yoho, the Chilcotin, Coast Mountains and Whistler.
Located almost in the centre of Vancouver Island, Strathcona Provincial Park is a rugged mountain wilderness comprising more than 250,000 hectares. Mountain peaks - some perpetually mantled with snow dominate the park. Lakes and alpine tarns dot a landscape laced with rivers, creeks and streams. The park was created for those who seek adventure in remote wilderness surroundings. Summer in Strathcona is usually pleasantly warm. A 25 km trek (much of it off-trail) traversing the fourth highest peak on Vancouver Island (Mt. Albert Edward) from alpine flower meadows to spectacular visual highlights of glaciers, mountains and the Strait of Georgia. Start in the alpine and finish at Buttle Lake, almost at sea level.
